Harvest lasted from Monday 10 to Saturday 29 September. We started with two days in Chardonnay for the Crémant, then in the Crus, Brouilly, Fleurie and Moulin à Vent. From Monday 17, we were in St Vérand to pick Gamay, and we ended in Légny and Oingt for Beaujolais blanc.
The flower has been long to pass, thus the quantities are low. The grapes are small but concentrated. We have a good maturity and very interesting natural degrees between 11.5 ° and 12.5 °. However we were obliged to sort the grapes because of unequal maturities in some parcels. Sorting is done first by the vine pickers. Then the grapes are in the hands of six people on the sorting table at the winery who remove the pink grapes and some rotten ones.
According to the impressions of Pierre-Marie Chermette and the first analyses, the wine is fruity and supple, suggesting good Primeurs (relatively low acidity). The year may be close to 2007, with wines that we drink rather quickly. We must wait for the second fermentation, malolactic fermentation, to better define the Features of the new vintage.
