Very original, Beaujolais rosé is great to surprise and impress your friends. Ideal for the summer months, friendly patio meals, relaxed barbecues in the garden and Asian cuisine.
We started making rosé in 1985, at that time it was a real rarity in the Beaujolais region. Pierre-Marie has never made his rosé by bleeding (that is to say, drawing the juice off a tank of red Beaujolais to make it more concentrated) but has always vinified it as a wine in its own right. This rosé is a warm wine that evokes a basket of fruit.
Grape variety: Gamay - Guyot pruning - Density: 8,500 vines / hectare.
1 hectare at d’Oingt Les Patins, south west exposure. siliceous-clay soil giving light and fruity wines.
Sustainable agriculture, manual harvest.
Vinification: direct pressing after picking, slow alcoholic fermentation (2 weeks) at 16 ° C in stainless steel tanks, no yeasting or chaptalization, minimum SO2.
As an aperitif and ideal for exotic cuisines: Asian for example. With raw vegetables, such as tomatoes or on tabbouleh, gazpacho, ratatouille, at barbecues and for dessert on fruit pies and sorbets. Recommended for the hottest days of the year!
